Hey guys! My name is Patrick Sullivan and I’m am from Tampa, Florida and have lived in the sunshine state my whole life. Some of my hobbies consist of playing golf and basketball, making videos, hanging out with friends, and always chowing down to a nice burrito bowl from chipotle. My journey in TeenPact started in 2012, when I attended my first one day class. I went to the capitol with my three older sisters not really knowing what to expect. I didn’t expect that later in my life, I would become so passionate about this organization. I attended my first state class in 2016 and I staffed my first state class this year. I ran for representative at NatCon 2018 and had so much fun. This year, I’m so excited to be running for senator at NatCon and to see all your wonderful faces at Lee University.
My message is based off of one word and that is “Defined.” Last year, I was at golf practice with my team and one of my teammates wanted me to do something that I knew was wrong. After I told him no, he said, “Oh, are you not going to do it because your a good Christian boy?” At that moment, I realized that I was experiencing what many teenagers around the world experience everyday. That was peer pressure. I realized that being a Christian is a lot more than just going to church and praying. It was standing up for you beliefs and being DEFINED as a Christian. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Guys, I can’t tell you to do anything. I can only encourage you to do something. Don’t live your life like everybody else. Step out in you faith and know that you are DEFINED in Christ.
